Each year, Pastoral Counseling Services (PCS) honors six individuals in the greater Manchester area who exemplify the qualities of the Good Samaritan by "going beyond what is expected at some personal risk to oneself for the good of others." This evening celebration is unique in its format, saluting those who reflect the values inherent in the work of PCS: compassion, courage, and commitment in helping fellow human beings and caring for the community.
Awards are offered in six categories:

Public Service
Religion
Values of the Good Samaritan include:
Going the extra mile for other human beings to improve their quality of life

Commitment to community and fellow human beings
Courage in actions and deeds
The 13th Annual Good Samaritan Awards Banquet will be held on October 1st, 2008 at the Executive Court, Manchester, NH.

Education: Walter Gallo, St. Anselm College
Media & the Arts: Carolyn Parrott, Black Water Band & Song Weavers
Medicine & Healing: Sol Rockenmacher, MD
